Our customer’s existing 250litre electric hot water unit had finally failed and it was time for a replacement. We explored the options available of gas, electric and solar hot water systems and in this case the solar system proved to be the best long term solution for the customer.

The system installed is a split system or low level system where the tank is located in lieu of the old tank and new panels are mounted on the roof. The water is circulated from the tank through the panels and returning to the tank by a small circulating pump. This pump only operates when the temperature within the tank and panels is sufficiently different enough to warrant the transfer of water.
