The original design for this village was for a modified gravity system. After years of Council trying to provide a sewer solution for this village, H2H Plumbing presented an option of utilising a Pressure Sewer System for Wamoon. The Pressure Sewer option was adopted by Council and in January 2023 H2H Plumbing set about installing the system within the village. The project consisted of a 6klm long Sewer Rising Main from Wattle Hill in Leeton, through to the Village of Wamoon. All reticulation pipework was installed via trenchless technology. We further installed another 2.8klm of pipework around the streets of Wamoon. In total there were 61 existing dwellings and the Wamoon Public School that had the E.one Pressure Sewer Units installed. To ensure that all dwellings were connected to sewer in a timely manner, Council also funded the connection of the existing house sewer drains to the new Pressure Sewer Units and the decommissioning of the existing septic tanks. This was a great result which ensured that all old septic infrastructure and waste was removed from the environment.
This project was delivered with a cost saving to Leeton Council of just over $1 million dollars in comparison to the gravity sewer option.
